Living With Opposite-Sex Housemates – Rosy Realty

  • Link Copied

Before I go ahead with my opposite-sex roommate experience, I would like to admit that I didn’t find it untoward to live with a roommate of opposite gender. Both of us moved to a flat, and this is when we turned legless about sharing it with another housemate. I’ve seen so many of them from the third-world countries being gobby about sharing their flat (in Queen’s English,  apartment) with an opposite-gender roommate. Are you always on the pull that you’re afraid of “living with an opposite-sex roommate”?

We shared our flat with a bloke. It’s said that ‘men are from Mars, women are from Venus’!  It was bloody blatant.

Understanding the opposite gender: The entire world knows that both men and women are born with “glasses of varying notes!” So, ignoring our opposite-sex roommate’s differences helped us to retain our #roommate’s bonding.

#We had an open discussion with him about the house rulesBills, groceries, music, roommate guests/girlfriend, telly, sanitation, sleep-over, do.

Our affairs didn’t botch up our friendship: We invited his lady love for our at home day. We made sure that they felt at home and hearth. This way we assured her that our roommates’ affair is a tickety-boo to her.

#If you’re living with an opposite-sex roommate, please make sure that you don’t become the sting to their courtship “in their eyes”.
