5 Annoying Roommate Habits!

My dad had a transferable job; he was never confined to one particular geo location. So for almost 8 years I lived with different roommates.  ‘Paying Guest’ accommodations are good if you have the right roommate but God help if she/he is a snob or a carefree person. The ultimatum would be he/she enjoys her stay; on the contrary it would be ‘you’ who would face all the heat.     

5.  Bills – Paying rent/electricity/grocery/miscellaneous is a monthly expense. Financial security is an important requirement when you search for a roommate.  Does he/she have a job or is he/she financial sound? (Parents helping).  If not checked, you would end paying every month for both your roommate and yourself.

4. Privacy - Everyone needs privacy, you would never want your roommate to barge into your space and eve’s drop at the conversation with your girlfriend/boyfriend.  “Keep your space” should be the thumb rule.

3. Party Animal – A worst roommate habit. All night party with his/her friends at your place can affect your life. If would be difficult to attend college the next day. I always have a headache if I don’t sleep. So no party animals and no headaches J

2. Bathroom Etiquettes -  “Keep your toilet clean as if God would be using is after you” this is what my parents have taught me but after a day’s hard work, you would never want to hit to a dirty toilet – soap froth all over, towels/linen stuffed in the shelf, shampoo bottles turned over, door mate still wet etc. Phew! It’s a disaster, most disgusting habit of a roommate – You sure need to check on this please J

1. Kitchen –“Cleanliness is a mantra for good health” - Sink full of crockery /utensils makes me puck.  Your roommate should be willing to clean the kitchen when he/she uses it. Dirty stink from an unclean kitchen will be annoying.
