Ask anyone about a few major drawbacks in rental houses and nearly most of them will mention the limited Storage Space Problem. Even if you don't own a lot of stuff with small spaces comes less storage, and that can be a little problematic. With simple and creative Space Storage Solutions you can maximize the living space in your rental home find a place for everything.

When asked about how my friend manages storage problems in her rented room, she said that she uses the space underneath things that aren’t being used. She calls it “going under” For example; one can buy storage boxes for under the bed spaces and store off-season clothing or bedding there. Get the idea? Even the apace beneath the kitchen sink can be used.

If not under, then she also suggests “going up”. Asking for an explanation she said, “I stock the not-used-often appliances or over-sized serving pieces on top of cabinets, and some even on the refrigerator. They stay up there until need arises for their services.

She continued by saying that one can even utilize wasted spaces like behind the door space to hang things. “With your landlord’s permission you can fix hooks, towel holders and racks behind the doors to store things. And while you’re at it, also fix removable hooks on kitchen walls and in the closet walls. These can hold utensils, dish towels, purses, scarves and belts.”

Another Space Storage Solution is to plan ahead and buy furniture with storage options inside. Furniture’s that can hide blankets and exercise equipments, or those that can be used to store boots, sports equipment and hats.

Whatever you do make sure to ask for the consent of your landlord.
