Not to get evicted, dumping the terrible tenant

  • Link Copied

Shutting off power, dumping the tenant along with his possessions on street, increasing the rent by 50%, intimidating looks, violating lease agreement

Playing with words is the mother of every mess up that happens with eviction. Dealing with eviction is just like home security alarm.

I don’t believe in pessimism, but I believe in watching my steps.

This one is for the tenants

Note: Jerks who land up as roommates or tenants knew, how terrible it’s to find a place after getting evicted.

Why to restore credits in terms of money and issues?

I know it’s hard to please the entire crowd, but it’s better off to sort out things with the landlord. Nobody gets away with an eviction notice.

Prudent landlords knew that it costs time and peace. In such cases like sacked from job or recession, it’s good to let them know.

Do you know, there’s never a No for sublet?

It won’t be mentioned in the contract, but replacing tenants saves trouble.

This one is for the landlords

Why to harass, while there’s a way to screen?

A real pain I would say. Instead of yelling a thorough screening would avoid such disaster. Instead of turning into a monster like that of the terrible tenant it’s peace-worthy to check with their references, previous landlords and, above all credit checks.

Why is it important to know their background?

Background is too important a thing.

Also, if they are cultured enough to communicate about the shortage of funds they don’t deserve to be harassed.

Note: During recession, it’s hard to decide on eviction notice. However, they’re going to pay back the arrears.

Most of the tenants aren’t aware of the de facto – income must be three times as much as the rent.

Why common sense and rules to be in black & white?

Everyone was a tenant at one point. I know rules and etiquettes are two extremes. Getting the very core ones in black & white is good.

Someone is able to party without rustling on the heads of fellow beings, and there goes a landlord’s line of control between respect and authority.

I don’t think it’s quite a thing to be appreciated to walk around the rental part of the house carrying a stick.
