Picking vacation rentals in the USA

Say, booking a vacation rental in New York City for $174 a night with a kitchen and bathroom, and spending $195 for hotel (taxes included)…

I would rather ditch expensive stay at hotels. Not to mention room service, heavy duty on additional blankets and towels! Nowadays, it works like good old days in Europe during 18th century. Out of a couple of journeys, I learnt something about picking vacation rentals in the US.

Cheaper than hotels

-          More space, but lesser bucks

Give up on home sweet home, but still, some amenities within resort community! I would say, condos offered me a really pleasing stay.

It was a single family vacation rental in Florida. But, I have had to carry my linens. I felt that it’s good, as I saved more money on taxes and services.

Within resort communities, you’d find these vacation villas and beach houses that provide every amenity at packages.

Short-term rentals

-          Book a vacation rental that’s not known much

If you can forfeit hospitality, then you’d enjoy a “feel at home” stay. Only thing about booking is in/out timing. It’s a wise thing to talk to the property owner as early as possible.

But, remember, these are short-term rentals that involve “rental agreement”. Also, bookings should be sealed before 90 days, you set on the trip.

You save on stay with some compromise on privacy, giving up on room services and laziness.

I realized one thing from vacation rentals – the farther they’re from tourist spots, the lesser they cost!
