Saga 1: “How To Post A ‘Wanted Roommate’ Ad” By Roomful Geek

  • Link Copied

I tend to giggle at funny “wanted roommates” ads. Off late, I bursted out with laughter, when I found one such ad for “roommate wanted”. It was posted on an Asian roommate portal -  “Looking for A female roommate to share bath. One bedroom beautiful apartment located at NYC”. Not to mention that it was posted by a chap ;) This is what one should seek if they wish to know, how to post a “wanted roommate” ad.

Never: “Are you still homeless? Perfect for young people, who likes to try some paprika, dill and green pepper! Check on our flat!”

Ever: #Location, #Sort of building, #Neighbourhood count a lot for the people who hunt columns for “Roommates wanted ad”:

“Looking for a roommate to share a great flat near train station, located a block away from grocers.

2 bedroom flat!”

The other person won’t find it inappropriate if they don’t find the unit number. So we just mentioned about the building, as our privacy matters.

Never: “Does someone looking out for a kick-ass sort of roommate? I’m ever willing for the one who minds a secondhand embarrassment of not paying their part of bills”

Ever: #Sort of roommate , #rent matters. Roommate wanted ads” can also sound nice and assertive:

“Looking for a respectful, responsible and social roommate, who can split rent and bills (50/50). Gender isn’t important”

Note: The other phrase isn’t for coy-forever or people ailing from botched cultural hysteria, who can’t justify their gawking at the other person!

Posting your own “roommates wanted ad” turns out to be trivial with the revival of etiquettes. I’ll comeback with the continuation of this post…
