Moving to NYC this fall to start a new role at Capital One near Union Square/Flatiron. I'm coming from Charlottesville, Virginia, where I just wrapped up my MBA at UVA Darden and led the school's Technology Club. Before business school, I spent several years in fintech and payments, working at PayPal and Venmo.
Looking for a room in a shared apartment, ideally Manhattan or Brooklyn, with a commute under 25 minutes to 19th St. Budget is flexible up to $4,000 for the right place.
A bit about me: I'm clean, organized, and easygoing. I keep a pretty normal schedule between work and settling into a new city, so quiet weeknights and occasional weekend hangouts is about right. I cook a fair amount, enjoy a good coffee shop, and I'm generally low-key when it comes to shared space, respectful of common areas and happy to split chores. Not looking for a party house, just a comfortable, clean space with people who are friendly but also value their own routines.
Open to a range of building types, walk-ups or elevator buildings, and flexible on move-in timing (preferably first week of September). Happy to share references or chat more before meeting up.
